Xenon set for backup lights?

Hello guys

Yesterday I stumbled onto this Xenon set for backup lights. Does anybody have any experience with this set? What color (Kelvin) do the lights have? What quality is it? Hoe easy is it to install the kit?

Thanks for the pictures!

Since I drive a 945 (as you know), I don't know much about the 944 specific stuff. The black "thing" around the Xenon, is that a thing that Volvo put in the lights or is it something you made (or borrowed somewhere else)?

BTW are the black "thing" and the white isolator touching each other?

No, as you see in the picture above, it is part of the lamp.

You drill a hole in the bulb holder and put the xenon bulb in, the same way as an ordinary halogen light bulb. Though first you have to remove the power terminals of the lamp holder. They will not be used anyway.

Thanks for the picture. I should have looked at mine, they look the same. I've had all four "bulbs" (2x H3, 2x H4) tested a few weeks ago, because one of them didn't start up anymore. (One of the lamps was broken, so I bought a new set) And I still have to put those back into (the front of) my car.

as far as i can tell, it looks like the kit from vparts has the same image as the kit from xenonkungen.se and the have a silicon plug that fits most holes for lamps without modification (just plug it in the ordynary hole for lamp without any socket)

I mounted Xenon on my 965 a couple of years ago!

Bought H3 bulbs, drilled right through the bulbholder, removed the collar from the Xenonbulb, drove it through the bulbholder and glued the bulb to the holder. Took me not even 1 hour to complete it

Did you use 15 Watt or 35 Watt ballasts? 4300K or 6000K?
