Roof liner, which one?

Hello guys

The roof liner in my model year 1991 945 is hanging, so I want to replace it. Preferably with a roof liner that doesn't have the tendency to hang.

Does the color have an influence on how warm or cold it gets in the car?
Is there a difference in sound isolation of the roof liner between model years? Or between the roof liners in the 945, 965 and V90?
I've seen roof liner that seem to be flat and roof liners that seem to hide a beam. What's the difference?

Sincerely

Mathy

Hmm, are we talking about the inside roof?

If so I actually watched a youtube clip yesterday of how to replace it if that's of any help for you.
It is in swedish but I don't think that matters.

Hello Lehto

Yes, the inside roof. Nice video! But my car is an estate, not a sedan.

I'd like to upgrade to a roof liner that is more isolating (sound and heat/cold).

I don't know if I have the patient to reupholster the existing roof liner. Plus I'd probably make more holes in it than necessary.

Hello Lehto, guys

I watched the video. That thing he uses to scrape of the foam, that's impressive. Where can I find it and where can I find the fabric he used? I've looked at the site of Biltema, but can not find it.

Sincerely

Mathy

It's actually used for cleaning the bbq grill:

At least here in sweden you can find it at any shop during the summer for like 2-3€
